Crediton and Dartmoor

Granite, ultrapotassic volcanism and volcanoclastic sediments

The Dartmoor Granite is the most voluminous intrusion in Southwest England. The Crediton half-graben developed as an extensional basin that includes basaltic and ultrapotassic volcanism as well as sediments deposited during the erosion and unroofing of the Dartmoor granite.
